Limestone sand for soil liming

Dried, sized limestone sand, produced by crushing, drying, and sizing natural limestone, is a high-quality soil liming material with low magnesium content. It is perfect whenever no additional magnesium is needed in the soil. Limestone sand is a slow-acting agent for liming soil with a high neutralising capacity of 98% (expressed as calcium carbonate CaCO3 equivalent, for 0.4–1.2 mm particle size). The product does not contain active calcium or magnesium oxides (CaO and MgO), so it can be applied in any season, although doing this produces the strongest effect in autumn or early spring. Limestone sand is a material that must be used in precise doses and applied to the soil using fertiliser spreader equipment.
