The total turnover of Saulkalne S group in 2020 rose 32%, reaching 10.1 million euros. This is a result of more than 3.5 million euros’ worth of investments, modernising our production facilities and developing our export markets. In 2019, the company’s turnover was 7.7 million euros.
In 2021, Saulkalne S plans to continue to increase this figure, both by ramping up the extraction and processing of aggregates and by expanding its market share in the neighbouring Baltic States.
Juris Seilis, head of Saulkalne S group: ‘Last year we successfully upgraded the production facilities and industrial processes in the companies of the group. We expanded our production facilities, automated and digitised our production processes, and bought new factory equipment. These investments have made sure that we are more competitive and can significantly increase our turnover. I am certain that these changes will enable the company to increase its long-term productivity and production capacity, making sure that its turnover grows in domestic as well as export markets. Current market trends also make it possible for us to expect an increase in demand for aggregates, suggesting that 2021, too, will be very financially successful for the company.’
‘We understand very well that today’s rapid pace of development does not allow us to rest on our laurels. This is why we will continue working on the automation and digitisation of the company’s processes, also introducing uniform corporate governance. This takes not only financial investment, but also gathering years of experience, conducting analyses and developing of new areas of business, new markets, products, and resources,’ Seilis said.
